Yoink ("we") runs yoinkjobs.com and sends job alert txts to people who ask for them. Yoink is a service operated by HUMAN/MACHINE LLC, the data controller for the information described below.
What we collect
- What you give us at signup or in settings: first name, mobile number, ZIP code and travel distance, the job types and pay you want, and an email address.
- Proof of your consent: the consent wording you agreed to, when, and the IP address and browser that submitted it.
- Your alerts: which jobs we txted you and when, and your STOP/START replies.
- Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card number.
How we use it
Only to run the service: match new jobs to what you asked for, send your alerts and account txts, charge for alerts, answer support requests, and prove we had your permission. We don't sell your information, and we never share your mobile number or your txt consent with anyone for their marketing.
Who processes it for us
Only to provide the service: Twilio (sending txts), Stripe (payments), Railway (hosting).
Security
Phone numbers and email addresses are encrypted in our database.
How long we keep it
- Delete your account any time in settings, and your profile, job choices, subscription status and alert history are deleted at once.
- We keep the record that a number agreed to txts or replied STOP for 5 years after deletion, without your name, keyed to a scrambled (hashed) form of the number, so we can prove consent and keep honoring STOP.
- Encrypted backups are kept 35 days, then deleted, so deleted data can remain in a backup until it ages out.
- Stripe keeps payment records under its own legal obligations.
Your choices
Reply STOP to any txt to stop all txts. Email support@yoinkjobs.com to see, correct or delete your information. The service is for adults (18+) looking for work.
